  - About the State Examination System (SES)
    State Examination System (SES) was developed by the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS), the same organization behind the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). Just as NMLS supports the licensing process of state regulators and their licensed companies, SES is now supporting the Examination and supervision processes.

      Once you have activated your Okta® account, and the company has access to SES, one of the first steps in the system is assigning the Supervisory Activity (SA) Contact and the Complaints Contact. This step only needs to be completed one time by the account administrator.

    The State Examination System (SES) uses company account information and IDs from the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). To respond to an Examination or Complaint in SES, your company will need an SES account, which requires your company to have either an NMLS account or a Non-NMLS Entity Entity account.

Activating Your Okta Account for SES

This section is intended to help companies understand how to activate and manage their Okta account as a part of the State Examination System (SES) enrollment process.

Procedure

>Find the Welcome to the State Examination System email from noreply@sso.nmls.org.
Click Activate Okta Account.
Create a new password, forgot password question and answer.
Click Create My Account.
Click Setup to begin the multifactor registration process.

Complete the setup of your multifactor authenticator to log into SES.
