Managing the Scope

The scope determines the content that will be reviewed during a supervisory activity, including the review period, business types and business activities, and the areas for review within the selected business types and activities.

This functionality supports the objectives of networked supervision by giving state agencies another tool to collaborate and leverage the work of other agencies. See Leveraging Another Agency's Closed Supervisory Activity for more information.

Note: Only staff users assigned as Participants on a supervisory activity and the Examiner in Charge (EIC) can define the Examination Scope.
Note: If you select Money Service Business as a business type, you have the option to select how you want to build the scope – manually or automatically using the MTRA Work Program.

Selecting the MTRA Work Program automatically populates the AFRs that correspond to the tabs in the work program. MTRA leadership has identified the AFRs appropriate for all MSB exams. These AFRs are referred to as “core” and are identified by a green ribbon icon green ribbon icon.

Removing any of the core AFRs associated with the MTRA Work Program removes the MTRA Work Program badge from the SA.

If you manually add all of the core AFRs for a work program, a badge is automatically applied. You have the option to remove the badge by re-selecting the "Manually Add AFRs" button.
