Sending an IR Response to the Agency

Once the company lead has conducted the review or completed the initial draft response, the IR response can be sent immediately upon completion and need not wait until a set of responses is available.

About this task

Note: Only the company lead can assign IRs. You cannot view or assign IRs until you assign your company contacts. See Assigning Company Contacts for more information.
Note: SA participants, other than the company lead, must send the drafted response for review. Once an IR is sent for review, it is removed from the list of IRs.
Note: Only the Company Lead can review and send IR responses to the agency.

Once the company lead has conducted the review or completed the initial draft response, the IR response can be sent immediately upon completion and need not wait until a set of responses is available.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to your supervisory activity.

  2. Click Information Requests.

  3. Click the IR Details tab.

  4. Click the SA IR ID hyperlink of the desired Information Request.

    Click on the Information Request ID to choose the information request.
  5. Click Respond to Information Request.

  6. Provide a response, upload any associated documents, select whether to restrict view from other participants other than the Company Lead and provide any internal comments. See Uploading Documents for details on uploading documents.

    The IR Response dialog box allws you to upload documents, add comments, and restrict the view of the IR Details.
    Tip: When providing responses to IRs via the Upload Documents section, it is recommended to type Please see attached documents in the Response text box.
    Note: You can select Not Applicable to indicate to the agency that information request does not apply. You cannot upload documents, include a file sharing link, or restrict view; however, you may still add a response or comments.

  7. Optional: Select the Save as QuickIR Response option.
    Select the option to Save As a QuickIR response.
    Note: Ensure that you refer to the Library ID in your IR response so that you can use this response from QuickIR on future supervisory activities. Do not refer to the IR ID in your IR response. The IR ID changes with each supervisory activity. The Library ID is the permanent unique identifier for an information request that remains the same across all supervisory activities.
  8. Fill in the required information.
    Note: You can select Not Applicable to indicate to the agency that information request does not apply. You cannot upload documents, include a file sharing link, or restrict view; however, you may still add a response or comments.

  9. Select the Send to agency now option, then click the Send to Agency Now button.

    Select the option to Send to agency now and click Send to Agency Now command.
    Note: If you want to return the IR back to the contributor who added the response for additional work or edits, select Send back to assignee and choose an assignee.
