Using Company Search

There are two modes for Company Search. This topic explains searching for companies in the Supervisory Activity module.

About this task

The Company Search allows you to find and view the company record for any company in SES, regardless of the company's state of record. From the Company Record, you can view Supervisory Activities and Complaints involving that company. Depending on your user role, you can also initiatie supervisory activities or complaints.

Procedure

  1. >On the SES Home Page, click Company Search.

  2. You can search using any of the following options:
    • Company SES ID: Use this field if you know the exact SES ID for the company. The results will show only the company with the matching ID.
    • NMLS ID: Use this field if you know the exact NMLS ID for the company. The results will show only the company with the matching ID.
    • City: Use the exact spelling of the city name. Combine with the State to limit the searcy within a specific city in a specific state. (For example, 34 states in America have a city called Springfield.)
    • Company Name: Use all or part of the company name. In the example shown, llc. is used, plus the State name Washington to search for LLCs in the state of Washington.
    • State: If you search by State alone, the results will show all companies in the named state. Combined with other fields, you can limit the search. This is especially useful with City or Company Name.
  3. Click Search.

  4. Click the SES ID.

Results

The Company Record page appears. The command options on this page depend on your user role.
