Changing the Subject of a Complaint

You can update the subject of a complaint to a different company, branch, individual, or non-NMLS entity.

About this task

Note: All Complaint Supervisors and Managers can update a complaint. See SES Agency System Roles & Consumer Complaints Roles for more information.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the complaint.
    The list of all open complaints
  2. Click Update Subject.
    Update the subject of a complaint
    Note: The button only appears for open complaints where information requests have not yet been sent to the subject.
  3. Select the type of subject.
    Select the type of subject for the updated complaint
  4. Search for the subject.
  5. Enter the required information.
  6. Click Update Complaint Subject.
